Pastoral Counseling is a unique approach to counseling, that incorporates basic psychological understanding and spiritual resources to assist with healing and growth. This training is for licensed and/or ordained ministers who would like to develop their skills in identifying and responding to the needs of their congregations; clinical counselors, who would like to add additional tools to their repertoire to help them work specifically with Christian individuals and couples; and anyone who believes they have been called to the ministry of counseling.

Pastoral counselors are not required to be licensed in 44 states; however, the completion of this training will qualify the counselor for certification through the National Christian Counselors Association, and eligibility for insurance at a discounted rate through NCCA.

Holden Grace Academy, is a Certified Academic Institute (CAI) with the National Christian Counselors Association. We offer training on the use of temperament therapy and how to use the APS assessment tool to identify their clients needs in the areas of: Inclusion (thoughts); Control (will); and, Affection (emotions). and how to help clients the Advanced certification is offered to churches and or counseling centers who have a desire to have more than one person on staff who can provide certified Pastoral Counseling and care for their congregation or staff.

All training is offered under the direction of an experienced NCCA trained Counselor and Ordained Pastor, with several yers experience providing counseling to Christians. We offer high quality interactive training for all phases of certification through online courses.

We offer on-going supervision and support for the counselors in our program. There is continuous opportunity for our counselors to become Advanced Certified in the areas of: Marriage & Family Therapy; Child & Adolescent Therapy; Crisis & Abuse; Domestic Violence and Intervention, and so much more from a Christian perspective.
