Grief counseling is a space where you don’t have to be strong.

Loss can come from many places, the death of a loved one, changes in relationships, missed seasons, or life that looks different than you expected. Grief often shows up in waves, affecting emotions, thoughts, faith, and daily functioning. In our work together, we make room for your experience without rushing, minimizing, or trying to “fix” what needs to be felt.

Faith can be gently integrated for those who desire it, offering grounding and meaning alongside clinical support.

My Grief Counseling Process

Grief work is not about moving on. It’s about learning how to carry loss with care.

Step 1: Create Space

We begin by acknowledging your loss and how it’s impacting you right now. This step focuses on safety, validation, and helping you feel supported in your experience.

Step 2: Understand & Process

Together, we explore the emotional, physical, and spiritual layers of grief. We identify patterns, unmet needs, and areas where grief feels stuck, using trauma-informed tools to gently process what you’ve been holding.

Step 3: Integrate & Rebuild

Over time, grief begins to shift. While the loss remains part of your story, it no longer defines or overwhelms you. This stage focuses on rebuilding meaning, restoring emotional balance, and finding steadiness in daily life.

What types of loss do you work with?
I support clients navigating the death of a loved one, pregnancy or infant loss, pet loss, relationship loss, life transitions, and unresolved or complicated grief.

Will grief counseling make the pain go away?
Grief counseling doesn’t erase loss, but it helps reduce the intensity and isolation that often come with it. The goal is to support healing, understanding, and emotional steadiness.
